Badminton World Championship 2010 SEMI FINALS

Peter Gade vs Chen Jin

Watch the Badminton World Championship 2010 SEMI FINALS, between Peter Gade and Chen Jin.

Peter Gade is a fast attacker where as Chen Jin is more towards a stroke player. At the start, Peter controlled the rallies by playing the game at a very fast pace. Chen Jin has to follow Peter’s pace in order to ‘survive’ those rallies.

Also, we can see that Peter has a more organised footwork compared to Chen Jin. Peter used this as his advantage and made Chen Jin ran so hard for the shuttle.

However, we can observe weaker performance by Peter towards the end of Game 1. This might be due to his physical weakness as he is near retirement.

Game 2 of this match is missing. Therefore it is a pity we can’t witness the second game. Chen Jin won the second game by 21:8.
