Question: Clash of rackets of my own team mate in doubles is foul?

Answer:
Hi Samuel, thanks for your question.

If your racket clashes with your partner’s racket, it’s not a foul.

Clashing of rackets is a very common scenario in badminton doubles.

Sometimes there will be confusion as to who is going to take the shuttle, especially when the shuttle is landing in between of the players.

This happens to international players as well.

As long as the shuttle does not touch your racket or any part of your body, it’s not a foul.
